| Type 11 - prototype one

Returning to the initial conception of the Type 11 project, known as Prototype One, marked a significant milestone for Auto Fabrica. It was their first contemporary motorcycle, conceived to be radical and groundbreaking. Inspired by pure concept design principles and drawing on functional styling seen in automotive and motorcycle racing, Prototype One underwent continuous development and evolution throughout its design and construction phases.

The foundation of this project lay in traditional 2D sketching, but leveraging their industrial design expertise, the team progressed through CAD design, engineering, rapid prototyping, and precision machining. Digital and physical mock-ups refined the concept, pushing the boundaries of craftsmanship, technological advancement, and design innovation while maintaining the core values and distinct Auto Fabrica DNA. The subsequent development of Prototype Three reflected many lessons learned and innovations introduced in this process.

Prototype One's design is characterized by extreme proportions and aesthetics, matched by its high-performance capabilities. Tailored for racing and track use, it boasts top-tier components from leading manufacturers in the industry. Performance-oriented details include an instant fueling system, a lightweight hand-laid carbon fiber race seat unit, and innovative carbon fiber and nylon 3D-printed components.

Visually, Prototype One features an elegant handmade aluminum tank and fairing that epitomize the evolution from earlier prototypes, pushing design boundaries with seamlessly integrated elements like the front fairing wrapping into the tank—a testament to meticulous craftsmanship and innovative design thinking.
