We accepted a commission from our friends at Safwat Cars, led by Sharif, to transform a low-mileage Yamaha XJ600 Pre Diversion into a small yet practical and clean build. Although not our typical project, we embraced the challenge and are pleased with the result.

The bike features a Honda CB750 tank that was modified to fit, with a custom cutout for the battery, maintaining a clean and period-correct design aesthetic without anything out of the ordinary. Rear sets from an early R6 were retrofitted for enhanced performance.

We fabricated a rear frame loop integrated with a rear LED light, and custom 3D-printed housings were designed and manufactured in-house for the LED indicators. The trim on the bike draws inspiration from late 80s/early 90s Recaro seats found in various Lancia models and similar vehicles.

Hagon suspension upgrades were applied to both the front and rear, completing the package and enhancing ride quality.

Overall, the bike offers an impressive riding experience, with a sound that belies its 600cc engine size, and it garners significant attention—so much so that a few spectators gathered around during the photoshoot in central London.
