| Type 7E

Inspired by the ongoing evolution of the adventurous Type 7 series, the Type 7D and 7E continue the legacy of the ultimate Type 7X, translating the off-road adventure theme into a rugged reality.

Built to endure the rigors of off-road exploration and tested under extreme conditions, these new additions to the series draw inspiration from the sculpted yet functional Type 7X, simplifying its design.

Based on Yamaha's SR500 platform, the Type 7 motorcycles underwent a complete redesign tailored to each client's specifications. The engines were meticulously rebuilt and refined, while the frames were delugged and lightened, featuring custom rear loop modifications for the seat unit. Tank modifications removed flanges and introduced custom fuel fillers for a sleeker appearance.

Echoing the 7X, these bikes feature bespoke, handmade sand-bent exhausts positioned high to facilitate river crossings and enhance ground clearance, serving both functional and aesthetic purposes. Special heat guards and black ceramic coatings on the exhausts manage heat effectively.

Rare parts from the SR500's off-road variant, the XT500, were sourced to enhance all-terrain performance and contribute to a distinctive aesthetic. Trials tires were chosen for their off-road grip and reduced aggression on pavement. Rental handlebars provide optimal riding posture and style, while custom-tuned front suspension with stiffer springs and Haigon's upgraded shocks at the rear ensure superior handling and performance. Handcrafted aluminum mudguards not only protect against mud splashes but also complete the rugged appearance.

Mikuni VM34 carburetors were installed to enhance airflow and performance, complemented by RAM air filters for efficient engine breathing in challenging conditions.

The Type 7E, finished in a classic off-road gloss white, features a weather-proof hand-stitched canvas seat in dark navy. Engines underwent aqua blasting treatment, and bare aluminum surfaces were treated to withstand the elements for long-lasting durability.
